Open Letter To Kink dot com PR department

Note: This is only directed at Kink.com's Public Relations Department. I think Kink.com as a whole is an awesome site, and is something that I highly recommend you check out for quality Kink/BDSM Adult Entertainment.

So I have been a huge fan of Kink.com since I first started to explore Kink and BDSM. I had remembered seeing something about Peter Acworth on the old HBO series Real Sex. So I did the Google and there we go, a fan is made! I will go to the behind the scenes site on a fairly regular basis to see what they are up to and what is going to be coming soon. It's an awesome way to see how Kink.com does their shoots, what happens on set, and what really goes into making a successful online adult site for the kinky inclined......Interrupted post...more info after the jump!

I started this article as I do with almost every post I write. I do a lot of research and when I am able to I contact the right people for information and permission to use a picture or two and maybe some video. So I attempted to get into contact with the PR department over at Kink.com to get more info on the series however after having waited almost two weeks. I haven't heard anything back. I mean I know I'm a small yet growing blog. However I am just a little disappointed that I didn't even get a reply email saying my blog wasn't big enough yet to warrant any consideration. I still think Kink.com is an awesome site and they put out an awesome product. I sent an email asking about the Real Sex Episode, and permission to use some images and maybe a video from the original trailer they put out in 2007 to introduce the series. I also ask about some background on the series.

I just never heard back from them, No replies, no please don't use any of our images or video, and please kindly fuck off until you have a lot more traffic. I didn't get anything. I don't think that the lack of response I got is how the company is as a whole. I think it's a oversight of the PR department. I'm not asking for them to sponsor the post, although that would have been awesome. I would have promoted the fuck out it, on Twitter, Fetlife and a few other places. I was just asking for some background info on the series and to use a few of the Images. To feature a series that I feel the readers of this blog would find interesting and would have maybe exposed some people who haven't seen it yet to this really awesome series that focuses on Slave/Submissive Training.

I was even going to have another post that was going to focus on Fisting that featured a short Documentry they did on BehindKink.com Instead I think I am going to use a different source for that post now. As I had also included a request to use that video in my post. Since I never got a response and because I really do respect what Kink.com does and the positive face they give the Kink/BDSM community. I wanted to make sure I did everything right, and hopefully build a relationship with a respected studio in the Kink Community. However because of this, I am going to have to avoid any further stories for the foreseeable future that I could have done about the product they produce, because I try as much as possible to respect the copyright of sites and artist whenever I can. So I won't be doing a post about The Training Of O or any other Kink.com product for awhile. I might be a small blog, but I get almost 3000 page views a month, and average about 200 page views a day, with that number growing every month. I have a lot of posts on here that get a lot of return traffic several months after it's been posted. In Fact a post on Dylan Ryder has over 1500 page views since I posted in January of this year.

Kink.com PR department, I am very disappointed in your lack of response to a blogger that just wanted to highlight a series that I thought was worth taking the time to write about and do so for free. I wasn't asking for anything in return, I was only asking to use some pictures, a couple short videos, and some background information. It was going to be a very positive Pro-Kink Post. It would have made Kink.com look like awesometastic Kinky Superheroes. However since you've deemed my blog to small to even reply back to, I think I'll just pass on that for awhile. So in conclusion, Kink.com is awesome, their PR department not so much.  You might notice that there aren't any pictures in this post...well now you know why.
